PG-585 is a 0.118in (3.0mm) gloss gray tint polycarbonate sheet. Polycarbonate is sometimes referred to by one of its common brand names: Lexan®, Tuffak®, Monogal®, or Makrolon®. Common applications for gray tint 0.118†polycarbonate include: machine guards and equipment enclosures where light filtering or operator privacy is desirable, applications where more aesthetic appeal or privacy is desired than standard clear polycarbonate, sunshades, covered walkways, greenhouses, sunrooms, privacy panels/partitions, motorcycle/ATV windshields, RV windows, tinted product displays, and impact-resistant tinted glazing. Its shatter resistant material can be cut and drilled with standard tools without the risk of cracking. As a better insulator than glass, polycarbonate can help to lower energy costs. Please note that the 0.118†thickness is not intended for certain applications where extreme force will be applied to the polycarbonate.
