PG-578 is a 0.118in (3.0mm) gloss clear MR-10 scratch, UV, & abrasion resistant polycarbonate sheet (with a protective masking film). Polycarbonate is sometimes referred to by one of its common brand names: Lexan®, Tuffak®, Monogal®, or Makrolon®. PG-578 combines the strength of a traditional Lexan-style polycarbonate sheet with a unique abrasion/UV resistant surface that approaches glass in performance. PG-578 has the benefits of being graffiti resistant, enabling restoration to a like-new condition, and has improved resistance to weathering as well as forced-entry protection. Common applications for PG-578 include: 1. glazing and window protection such as those in schools, hospitals, transit stations, and detention centers; 2. machine guards and safety shields; 3. vandal-resistant retail and public fixtures including display cases, kiosks, touch-screen enclosures, and ATM covers; 4. riot shields, guard booths, and partition windows; and 5. indoor walls or surface panels where visual clarity is needed but where frequent human contact is expected. Please note that due to its mar-resistant coating, we do not recommend that this product is cold-formed.
